Requesting Articles

This is Wikipedia's page for requesting articles. If you want to request a new article, this is the right place to start. Please read the instructions before posting.

New requests are to be added to one of the sub pages listed below. Please provide a reference or a brief description for the proposed topic to aid others in identifying the meaning being desired.

Before adding a potential page please:

Verify that the spelling is correct
Make sure that the term does not contain inappropriate capital letters
Determine if the term is WP:Notable. For Wikipedia this usually requires inclusion in a book [1], or google [2].
Perform a search of Wikipedia [3] to determine if the term is already discussed on a page with a different name. If this is the case please add a WP:Redirect.
Find the sub-topic in which your request best fits and click on the edit link next to the heading. In the resulting edit box, add the name of the article.

For Wikipedia editors

Your help is needed to write these articles. Please remove from the list titles for which legitimate articles have been created and tag short articles as stubs.
